Alison Cook
Alison qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte and Touche and then worked in investment banking for 12 years. She set up her own accountancy practice in 2003 working with small business in London, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
She provides advice on finance, VAT, tax, payroll, cash flow and bookkeeping. Her clients range from start-ups to well established companies with up to £3million turnover, and cover a wide range of sectors including retail, construction, IT, hospitality and property management as well as small manufacturers and management consultants.
In the past 12 years, she has written and delivered seminars on tax and accountancy for new businesses for Business Link, University of Bedfordshire, Wenta (Watford Enterprise Agency) and Stanta (St Albans Enterprise Agency). She also volunteers for Tax Help for Older People, a charity offering free tax advice to older people on low incomes.
