IoD delivers international governance programme in Shanghai

The International Role of the Director and the Board programme equips directors based outside the UK with a deeper understanding of corporate governance, board effectiveness and their legal responsibilities.

From 13-14 October, the Institute of Directors (IoD) successfully delivered its International Role of the Director and the Board programme at the British Consulate-General Shanghai.

Led by Dr Rainer Pratl, the programme welcomed directors and senior executives from a diverse range of countries, industries and functions, creating a dynamic learning environment shaped by peer-to-peer discussion, shared experiences and practical insights.

Alongside the programme, the IoD was delighted to collaborate with the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai (BritCham Shanghai) on an alumni event held at the BritCham Shanghai Office Lounge on 13 October. The event, titled “China is going global (again!) – Geopolitics is fragile. How can good governance help you weather the storms of change?“, brought together business leaders and governance professionals to examine China’s global ambitions, geopolitical developments and the role of effective governance in navigating uncertainty.
