Policy Voice is a monthly survey of IoD members who share their views on current business issues, providing statistical evidence and anecdotal detail we use in our government engagements, consultations, and policy papers.

Responses to our survey in February will be used in consultation responses, impact assessments, and government advocacy and recommendations.

This data also contributed to our Director’s Economic Confidence Index, which we send directly into the heart of government each month. In February, business confidence remained at historically depressed levels (-64), just above the recent nadir of -65 in November 2024 and close to the lows reached during Covid. Cost concerns also rose to record levels among business leaders.
