This workshop focuses on the NED role and how it differs from that of an Executive Director. Analysis of successful organisations shows that NED’s need to use both IQ and EQ to address the role effectively. Learn through examples and types of techniques, how to develop your skills to help improve the corporate governance standards and decision making quality of the board. Also, identify the key ways to find a role.

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the NED Director.
  • Describe the skills, behaviours and competencies of an effective NED
  • Identify how to ‘make the weather’ and help create an effective board and add value in and out of the boardroom


This interactive workshop is designed and delivered by Non-Executive Directors. It will help you define how you extend your skills to fulfil the role and show you where and how to apply for suitable positions.

Learning alongside other leaders from your region, you will have the opportunity to build your network as you develop your professional competencies.
