IoD press release IoD agrees deal with British Chamber of Commerce in China
The Institute of Directors is delighted to have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the British Chamber of Commerce in China that will enable British businesses operating in China to have access to the IoD’s world class professional development programmes.
Jonathan Geldart, Director General of the Institute of Directors, said:
“I am excited that the Institute of Directors will now be working with British businesses in China, continuing and expanding our work to set global standards of excellence and lead the agenda on corporate governance.
“We believe that better directors make a better world. We are, therefore, delighted to be offering our courses, which are designed to promote and champion the highest standards of professional competence for directors, in China.”
Julian MacCormac, Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in China, said:
“I am delighted that the British Chamber has forged this partnership with the Institute of Directors to support enhanced professional development for directors of British companies working in China.”
The Institute of Directors will start by offering taster courses at the end of January, before rolling out the full suite of certificate courses to coincide with the start of the Year of the Tiger in February 2022.
