Smoothing the path to Chartered Status
In order to ease the journey to achieving Chartered Director status, we have simplified many of the eligibility requirements.
For example, people who passed the Diploma more than 10 years ago will be able to apply. Furthermore, in July, we will be streamlining the application process, including a requirement to complete a questionnaire rather than submitting a Portfolio of Experience and using a custom built platform on which the assessment interviews will take place.
We are also now looking to encourage applicants who fulfil significant director-type responsibilities, but who do not work on formally constituted boards which have complete autonomy in decision-making.
Becoming a Chartered Director will help you stand out from your peers. It recognises the high standards and capabilities that are needed for ensuring that the profession of ‘director’ is understood and placed at the heart of organisational life.
