Thriving Through Menopause — A Leadership Conversation
Last week, IoD South West was delighted to host a powerful and thought-provoking discussion on Thriving Through Menopause — a topic often viewed through a wellbeing lens, but one that is equally vital to leadership and workplace culture.
The openness in the room was remarkable. Attendees shared personal experiences and reflected on how leaders can better support colleagues during this stage of life. That honesty and curiosity are where meaningful change begins. One delegate commented, “I simply had no idea about all the different symptoms — it’s been eye-opening.” He added, “I’m definitely going home to make the dinner.”
Menopause can influence confidence, energy, and identity. When organisations create space for understanding and empathy, they don’t just support women — they strengthen leadership culture and build more connected, resilient teams.
