Mehrdad Mansourpour

Mehrdad is an associate fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, and a member of IEEE and the IoD.

He contributes a wealth of entrepreneurial management experience within the cable, telecoms, retail and automotive industries. At UPC/Liberty Global, he was managing director, CIO and chief NMC (Network Management Centres), as well as a member of the European Corporate Executive Management team. He was group CIO for FLAG Telecom, a global fibre optic network provider with operations in more than 150 countries. He has also held board level positions with Cairneagle, Yardley of London, Revlon and Rolls-Royce.

He has a proven track record in building and managing world class global businesses and IT and network functions across EMEA, Europe and Asia Pacific, from start-up to IPO and beyond. He was a member of the board of the European management team at UPC, the largest managed services provider operating 14 businesses across 12 countries in Europe serving more than 30 million customers with broadband, internet, telephony, cable TV and mobile services. He has worked in Europe for over 10 years and is an M&A veteran within the TMT sector, completing over 30 transactions worldwide. He is currently managing partner at Via-Cable.

Mehrdad is highly experienced in delivering synergies and integration of information systems, processes, and facilities services, as well as HR and communications through the design, implementation and operation of network-facing, customer-facing, web and Internet, B2B and enterprise systems.

Mehrdad has a BSc in maths, statistics and computing from Teeside University. He has a post graduate qualification in mathematics and its applications from De Montford University and an MBA from Cranfield University.
