Kristina Lewis
Kristina Lewis is Institute Secretary of the IoD. She is responsible for the internal governance of the organisation and acts as governance advisor to the board, council and committees of the IoD.
Before becoming Institute Secretary, Kristina was Governance Manager at the IoD where she supported the executive team of the IoD to ensure the highest quality governance.
She has extensive knowledge in European Law, having been an advisor for the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA) in Brussels. Her work included the development of industry policy on the European regulatory environment, including the AIFM Directive, EMIR and Solvency II, as well as monitoring ongoing European regulatory developments to establish relevance for the property industry.
Other roles include AFI Europe N.V, Netherlands, where she provided legal advice to the company and all its subsidiaries situated across Europe, cementing her understanding of the property market in Europe.
Kristina has a LLB Law degree from King’s College London where she was a member of both King’s College Law Society and the European Law Society. She is a polyglot, speaking Bulgarian, English, French, Italian and Russian.
