Kate Cooper
Kate was appointed as Director of Finance in March 2023.
Prior to her appointment at the IoD Kate has had a successful career in the private sector across a variety of industries including the retail, telecoms and energy. Most recently, she was the Finance Director of the Squeaky Clean Energy Group where she built the finance team from the ground up, implementing systems and controls to support the business in a period of high growth.
Other roles include CNG Energy Group where she was Group Financial Controller and KCOM telecoms where she held a variety of roles including Head of Commercial Finance.
She brings with her a wealth of experience in systems transformation, process optimisation and establishing high performance finance teams built on a business partnering approach.
Kate started her career in accountancy practice, training with Deloitte where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. She is now a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and holds an LLB Law Degree from Leeds Metropolitan University.
