Kate Cooper
Kate joined the IoD in March 2023 as Director of Finance and was appointed to the Board of Directors as Chief Financial Officer on 1st December 2024.
Prior to joining the IoD Kate has had a successful career in the private sector across a variety of industries including the retail, telecoms and energy. She brings with her a wealth of experience in systems transformation, process optimisation and establishing high performance finance teams built on a business partnering approach.
She is working through the Chartered Director professional development journey having completed the certificate in company direction and continues to develop her governance experience.
Kate started her career in accountancy practice, training with Deloitte where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. She is now a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and holds an LLB Law Degree from Leeds Metropolitan University.
