Kahumbya Bashige CDir
Kahumbya is a Chartered Director and a Fellow of The Institute of Directors.
She is a seasoned professional in Development Finance, Commercial Banking and Corporate Finance and has over 20 years of experience in corporate and project finance, deal structuring, credit risk review, portfolio management, financial modelling, capital raising and advisory in areas of mergers and acquisitions. An expert in Finance, Kahumbya holds a master’s in Finance from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, and a Bachelor of Commerce and Accounting major from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya.
She has extensive international experience having worked for four different multinational institutions namely Citibank, Deloitte and Touche, African Development Bank and Shelter Afrique.
She is currently heading the Investor Relations function at Shelter Afrique and sits on the Board of CRDB Bank Burundi as a Non-Executive Director and Chairperson of the Audit Committee.
