Ieda Gomes Yell

Ieda Gomes Yell is an expert in the natural gas, energy and infrastructure industries with an international career spanning 35 years.

She spent 14 years with BP plc. Prior to BP she was CEO of Brazil’s largest gas utility, the Sao Paulo Gas Company. Her non-executive director roles include Saint Gobain, Exterran Corporation, Prumo Logistica and the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain.

Ieda is a senior visiting research fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies and on the Advisory Board of Fundação Getúlio Vargas’ FGV Energia (Brazil). She is a founding director of WILL Latam (Women in Leadership in Latin America) and co-chair of Access for Women in Energy.

Ieda has a BSc, Chemical Engineering (Universidade Federal da Bahia), an MSc, Energy (University of São Paulo), and a Masters, Environmental Engineering (Polytechnic School of Lausanne). She was Brazil’s Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year in 2001.
