Femi Bamisaiye
Femi has led teams across three continents delivering digital solutions and product propositions to improve customer experience and drive revenue in complex multi-national companies.
Femi was appointed to the IoD board in February 2019. He became chair of the Remuneration Committee in June 2022. He is passionate about equality and inclusion and has sponsored and led DE&I initiatives across several organisations.
Femi has a career spanning 30+ years, with the last 15 years spent is executive positions across several sectors. Femi was most recently Chief Information Officer of Aviva’s General Insurance business in the UK. Prior to this, he was CIO of HomeServe – one of the UK’s leading home assistance providers. He joined HomeServe in December 2017 from Royal Mail where he was CIO responsible for Royal Mail International and Parcelforce Worldwide.
Before Royal Mail, Femi spent six years with the London 2012 Olympic Organising Committee (LOCOG) as part of the foundational team that designed and delivered the technology, timing and scoring for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Before the Olympics, Femi worked in consumer packaging manufacturing for Rexam PLC and prior to this, IBM Global Services.
Femi is a member overseeing the Board of Trustees of the Bentley Wood Academy Trust.
He grew up in Nigeria, has lived and worked on five continents and has an MBA in International Business and a degree in economics.
Femi lives in London with his wife and two teenage children. He enjoys cycling, swimming, scuba-diving, and travel with family, off and on the beaten track.
