Imperial Occupational Health Group offers a lunchtime workshop on work and health for corporate colleagues on work-related stress and your organisation

Occupational health helps keep your workforce both physically and mentally well, aiding morale and productivity. Join Imperial College London's Occupational Health Group in this webinar to learn about occupational health and work-related stress management.

In this 60-minute webinar, you will learn about the following:

  • What is occupational health?   Legal framework, what level of occupational health input do you need and when?
  • What can you achieve in house without occupational health?   Which health and work management strategies that can be deployed without clinical expertise?
  • What is work-related stress?   Is it in your organisation and how can you address it?

In the first part of the workshop, you will be briefed on the three key topics with an opportunity for Q+A and discussion. In the second part of the workshop you will be provided with resources that can be deployed while working through case studies, generated to reflect occupational health issues across workplace settings we have seen in practice.

Speakers

Dr Kaveh Asanati

Kaveh is a Consultant Occupational Physician, a Visiting Professor in Occupational Health at Imperial College London, and the Head of the Imperial Occupational Health Group. He brings extensive experience from various industries, including the NHS, service sectors, and major manufacturing companies like McLaren and Rolls-Royce.
Kaveh’s commitment to excellence and his impressive track record have earned him the reputation of being a trusted leader in the Occupational Health community, bolstered by his Fellowships of both the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FFOM).

Dr Lara Shemtob

Academic Clinical Fellow in General Practice and Occupational Health Physician
Lara works between general practice, occupational health and the department of Primary Care and Public Health at Imperial College London where she is deputy of the Imperial Occupational Health Group. Lara's area of academic interest is occupational health research and policy. She is an assistant editor at the journal Occupational Medicine and Honorary Strategic Policy Advisor for the Society of Occupational Medicine. Lara writes 500 words on work and health every week.
