What does getting to net zero mean for your business?
We are delighted to be supporting Business in the Community (BITC) to promote their Climate Action for Business programme to our members. This programme, supported by Scottish Enterprise and Be the Business, is for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs), from any sector, operating or based in Scotland. It caters for those who have not started or are in the initial phases of their net zero journey and supports them to plan for a more sustainable future, by guiding them through the practical steps they can take to thrive in a net zero economy.
The programme consists of four two-hour workshops taking place in June. These online workshops are delivered by BITC’s Environment Advisors, with peer group exercises and guest speakers to reinforce understanding. Workshop content has been developed to take SMEs new to the topic on a structured journey introducing the why, what, and how they can become more sustainable, reduce emissions, and therefore contribute to the achievement of the UK and Scottish targets.
In between each workshop, the SME will be supported to complete their Climate Action plan by mentors who have volunteered from BITC’s member businesses.
