Speakers

Dr Patricia Gestoso, EWOB

Patricia has over two decades of expertise in digital transformation with a focus on empowering organisations worldwide to harness the potential of emergent technologies for sustainable growth and responsible innovation. She is the Director of Scientific Support at Dassault Systèmes BIOVIA. Her previous roles include Global Head of Training and Contract Research.

She is a trustee of the Booth Centre, a charity aiming to bring about positive change in the lives of people who are homeless. She is the UK committee member for European partnerships of European Women on Boards.

Patricia has been featured among the most influential women in tech in the UK.

Dr Roger Barker, IoD

Roger has been the IoD’s Director of Policy and Corporate Governance since September 2020. He also served as Director of Corporate Governance and Professional Standards at the IoD from 2008-2016. He is honorary associate at the Centre for Ethics and Law at University College London and was previously managing director of Governomics Ltd, a corporate governance advisory firm. He is also the author of numerous books and articles on corporate governance and board effectiveness.

Siddika Demir, Keiretsu Forum London

Siddika, a global executive with 25+ years in engineering, construction, pharma, and tech, is Co-Founder and Chair of Keiretsu Forum London, an angel investing network. She's on the board of a B2B startup, serves on advisory boards and co-founded a medtech startup in Germany. With experience in the USA, Switzerland, Germany, and Turkey, Siddika offers a global, strategic perspective and an entrepreneurial spirit. A STEM and DE&I advocate, she led international teams in engineering, supply chain to portfolio management in Genentech, Roche, and Bechtel, and holds key roles in non-profits, including the European Women on Boards and past president of the Society of Women Engineers.

Suzy Brain England OBE CDir, Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust

Suzy is an experienced board chair, non-executive director, consultant, mentor and counsellor. Suzy is currently the Chair and Trustee of Keep Britain Tidy, a member of the Institute of Directors’ Accreditation and Standards Committee, and founder of Cloud Talking mentoring services.

Suzy has a wealth of experience in chairing and serving on boards in a variety of sectors including health, housing, enterprise and finance. She was awarded an OBE for her work as Chair of the Department of Work and Pensions Decision Making Standards Committee.
