British Bird of Prey Centre Launch

Join us on Thursday 10 September for the official launch of the British Bird of Prey Centre’s new state-of-the-art facility in Carmarthenshire, which will be officially opened by Cefin Campbell, Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education. 

Taking place from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, this business-focused event will bring together directors, business owners and senior leaders from across Wales to celebrate an exciting addition to the Welsh visitor economy. Open since 2018, the Centre has continued to grow its work in conservation, education and immersive experiences, and its move to a new site in October 2025 will support even more space for its birds, enhanced visitor experiences, expanded education programmes and greater conservation impact. 

Guests will have the opportunity to explore the new facility, experience a flying show, enjoy lunch and hear from Emma Hill, award-winning Director of the British Bird of Prey Centre. 

The lunch will include a skills discussion chaired by Richard Selby, National Chair of IoD Wales and founder of Pro Steel Engineering, with confirmed panel members Jane Lynch from Cardiff Business School, Owain James from Daragon and Simon Pritchard from Philtronics. The discussion will feed into the Welsh Government skills audit. The event will also provide insight into the Centre’s future developments and the opportunities available locally, while offering valuable networking with peers from across the Welsh business community.
