Join us for the Kent IoD Black-Tie Dinner - an evening of fine dining, strategic insight and high‑quality networking for business leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, local authorities and public‑sector partners to explore how Kent can achieve resilient growth against a shifting UK and global economic backdrop.

These discussions will be supported by a prosecco drinks reception and a 3-course dinner with wine, all included in the ticket price.

The focus for the evening will be Helping Kent Businesses Grow and Sustain: Navigating the Economic Outlook, Skills and Support for 2026 and Beyond.

Through meaningful conversation, professional networking, and insights from industry leaders we will explore following themes:

  • Strategic economic outlook for Kent and the wider region

  • Business support and resilience

  • Skills, education and future workforce

  • Government, investment and local leadership

We welcome our guest speakers who will speak on topics relevant to our region.

With opening remarks from Anwen Cooper and IoD Kent Chair Sweena Badhan, we will then hear from Jonathon Marchant and Nathan Smith of Mattioli Woods on “Making Sense of Today’s Markets”.

Between courses, Mark Coxon of Caxtons Property Consultant will discuss “Ambition, development and growth, shaping the future in Kent”, and Helen Thomas, CEO of BlondeMoney will speak on “From Shock to Strength: Growing a Business in a Volatile World”.

Finally, to round off the evening, Andrew Metcalf, Managing Director at Maxim, will talk us through “The big opportunities & challenges the county faces going forward”, followed by closing remarks from William English CBE CDir FIoD.
