Speakers

Chris Coyle, Chartered Accountant

Chris had an extensive career in commerce and industry, including a number of senior financial positions. He has held NED positions in a number of companies.

Thirty years in management consultancy including fifteen years with Deloitte & Touche. Now an independent consultant running his own business. Clients have ranged from SMEs to multinationals, as well as the public sector. They include Lloyds TSB, Prudential and MoD. Areas covered include general business and financial strategy, as well as business restructuring.

He has also worked as an interim general and financial manager for a number of companies, including two years as the Finance Director of an insurance company. Other interim clients have ranged from a furniture manufacturer to a travel and tourism operator.

Stephen Cooper, Legal and Business Advisor

Stephen is an experienced business consultant and non-practising Solicitor. For many years he was a practising solicitor handling a wide range of legal issues including contract and commercial advice, insurance, employment, and litigation. His clients included NHS bodies, insurers, SMEs and individuals. More recently, as a non-practising solicitor, he has acted as a business advisor including to directors and SMEs. He has also been an Ombudsman in the UK and Channel Islands and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has experience of setting up his own business, as a Board Member and Trustee of housing associations, and as a Governor of a Sixth Form College.
