IoD Cheshire | Optimising Your Executive Career – A panel discussion from experts on leadership career development

02 Apr 2020
Alderley Park, Macclesfield

Whether you’ve been a director for days or decades, there is always something new to discover about the role, your responsibilities, and the business world around you.

When we talk about skills, we rarely focus on director level training. But we need our directors, across all sectors, to be the best they can be to prevent corporate failure and to create the quality jobs and opportunities that make our regions and nations thrive.

Join us to discuss the importance of continuous learning at the very top of an organisation and explore how you can boost leadership, directorship and ensure higher level skills in your organisation. You will also hear the first-hand experiences of two recently qualified Chartered Directors and another speaker other who has completed the IoD Certificate in Company Direction to find out:

  • How it has helped them
  • The benefits of Director qualifications for the individual and the organisation
  • Why continuous personal development creates, adds and delivers value to both the boardroom and across your business
  • The range of courses, services and professional development available from the IoD – remotely, locally and nationally.
  • An understanding of the relevant content of selected courses and where to find out more of the range of available courses and services as part of membership.

The event will then close with a panel discussion and Q & A with IoD North West Regional Director, Claire Ebrey, an outline of the plans for the Cheshire branch in 2020 from Cheshire Chair, Rob McKay and the opportunity to enjoy further networking.
