Dr Margaret Cullen

Margaret is a governance adviser to the Institute of Directors (IoD) in Ireland, an experienced Board Assessor with IoD’s Board Evaluation Service and member of IoD’s faculty for the delivery of customized governance education and workshops. She is Programme Director of UCD’s Professional Diploma in Corporate Governance and has lectured on the programme since 2007 in the areas of governance theories, role and responsibilities of the board in practice, investor stewardship, sustainability, behavioural aspects of boards and executive remuneration and incentives. She is Academic Director for the Institute of Banking’s Certified Bank Director Programme and lectures on bank governance on the programme. Margaret serves as a non-executive director on the boards of several organisations and has extensive board and board committee experience.
