Barry Gamble
Commissioner
Barry Gamble is an experienced private, public company and charity board director, chairman of Boardroom City Debates, advisory board member Board Agenda, writer and commentator on boards.
Alongside board advisory and NED roles, including working with some family offices, he regularly writes, speaks and chairs formal debates about issues challenging boards, on which The Financial Times have published a number of his letters. He was a member of the IOD working party which published ” The Post Office Scandal, a failure of governance”. He periodically contributes to the NED development programs at Henley Business School and Cranfield School of Management.
At Fountains plc, he led a private equity MBO, public company IPO and with LightwaveRF plc, secondary fundraisings including working with the Takeover Panel, and an AIM de-admission. He was the first external chairman for land agency and real estate firm, Fisher German. Through a role as senior advisor at Boudicca Proxy he also has experience of activists, institutions and corporate boards in shareholder engagement and activist scenarios. Formerly Editor-at-Large at BoardRoom magazine, senior adviser Non Executive Directors Association.
