IoD Northern Ireland

A community for directors across Northern Ireland

Across Northern Ireland, directors are navigating an increasingly complex business landscape, making local connections and high-impact professional development more important than ever. The IoD in Northern Ireland brings together leaders with all levels of experience, connecting and representing them through professional networks, events and professional development opportunities.

IoD Northern Ireland is proud to support our business leaders to drive long-term success and contribute to a thriving national economy – providing the insights, connections and advocacy they need and championing directors’ priorities and representing their voices nationally.

IoD NI: Action Plan

Getting infrastructure and investment back on track

Northern Ireland faces both challenges and opportunities in infrastructure. By acting decisively on energy, planning, water, transport, and project delivery, the region can unlock economic potential, support sustainable development, and improve quality of life for communities.

Coordinated investment, modernised systems, and innovative funding will ensure that infrastructure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with maximum impact. The time to act is now.

The Chartered Director Programme combines professional development with access to a network and the assurance of a recognised qualification. It has been one of the best learning experiences I have been through, and I was able to progress at my own pace. I was also part of a cohort of talented individuals which allowed me to tap into a diverse range of perspectives and experiences.
