Martin is a highly experienced marketing communications consultant, trainer, public speaker and business author. He has led award-winning marketing agencies and advised some of the world’s leading private and public sector organisations. He is a non-executive director of the Commonwealth Games Council for England, a former board director of Sport England, an advisor to The Courtauld and the Future Foundation and a fellow of the RSA.
Professional credentials and training experience
Martin has run marketing communications training programmes and workshops for a broad range of clients including Bacardi Global Brands, RAC, Royal Mail, Wolters Kluwer, Marks & Spencer, SAP and numerous marketing services agencies. Much of his training work in recent years has focused on the strategic application of social media, a subject on which he has become a highly regarded writer and commentator.
He has also chaired over 30 social media conferences. His written work explores how institutions around the world are responding to consumer empowerment and the emergence of new technology. In his latest book, Martin explains why institutions need to adopt a more flexible approach to the way that they think and work if they are to survive and thrive in our highly complex, socially-connected world.
