IoD members receive complimentary access to Regus business lounges worldwide.

Q: I am not sure if I am eligible for this member benefit?

A: This benefit is available to all full paying UK, EU and Overseas members. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please call the Membership team on 020 7766 8866.

Q: I have received a communication from the IoD about my Regus ‘Preferred’ membership but I have not yet activated it. Can I get access to the Regus Premises?

A: Membership must be activated before access can be gained. Provided that you have your access code, you can simply activate online at

Q: I have just found out about the new Regus ‘Preferred’ Membership benefit but I am already a Regus member. What should I do and can I get a refund from Regus?

Q: How do I get an authorisation code to access Regus ‘Preferred’ membership?

A: This will have been sent to you in an email or letter. If you no longer have this, you can contact the Membership team on 020 7766 8866 and they will be able to give you your code.  Alternatively, you can log into your ‘My IoD’ account and access it there.

Q: How many lounges will/do I have access to and where can I find details of their location?

A: You will have access to business lounges in 3,000 locations, spread over 900 cities and 120 different countries worldwide. There are more than 300 locations in the UK. You can find details of all the lounges at or alternatively you can download the Regus App from the Apple and Android stores free of charge.

Q: I see that I can use the business lounges up to 120 times per year. How does this allocation work?

A: Usage is run on calendar month and whilst you still qualify for the benefit. You may use the Regus lounges up to 10 times per month.

If you have used 10 times within a month, your usage will start again the next month.

The 120 usages covers all Regus lounges i.e. you will not be able to use each business lounge 10 times per month/120 times per year. 

If you sign up half way through your membership year, you would have access to the remaining months’ usage.  Usage is not accumulative and so if it is not used it cannot be recouped.

Q: How do I take advantage of the IoD member’s specially negotiated 15% discount on private meeting room hire?

A: You can do this by registering at or by quoting your Regus ‘Preferred’ Membership number if you book direct with a Regus business centre. There are some locations that require pre-booking. To avoid disappointment, check first here.

Q: Do I need to sign up to the Regus ‘Preferred’ Membership in order to access the Reading (Forbury Square) and London City (New Broad Street House) IoD premises?

A: No, you do not need to sign up to the Regus ‘Preferred’ Membership in order to access these two Premises.

Q: I am a not eligible for the Regus ‘Preferred’ Membership; can I still use the Reading (Forbury Square) and London City (New Broad Street House) IoD premises?

A: Yes, you may still access these locations. Should you wish to take advantage of the other lounges available as part of the Regus ‘Preferred’ Membership, you will need to upgrade to a Full Membership. To upgrade please contact the Membership Team on 020 7766 8866 who will be happy to assist you.

Q: I have registered with Regus but have not received but did not receive the confirmation email with my temporary membership card. Who should I contact?

A: Please contact the Businessworld team at or speak with a member of the Regus team when you visit a location.

If you have an Apple or Android device you may also wish to download the free Regus Businessworld Car App, which means that you would not have to carry a membership card with you.

Q: What happens if I have not received my Welcome Pack?

A: Contact Regus Customer Services at or by telephone on 0845 300 3585. Welcome packs are usually despatched within 4 weeks.

Q: What happens if I lose my Regus ‘Preferred’ Membership card?

A: Contact Regus Customer Services at who will order a replacement card. There is no charge for this. Replacement cards are usually despatched within 4 weeks.

Q: I have forgotten or do not have my Regus ‘Preferred’ membership card, can I get access to one of the Regus Premises?

A: Yes, provided that your Regus ‘Preferred’ Membership is ‘activated’. You will be asked to show some other form of ID for security reasons.

Q: What happens if I exceed my usage? 

A:  You will be contacted by the Regus Customer Services team and they may ask you to pay a per visit day fee. There is also an unlimited Businessworld product which members can upgrade to at

Q: Why can I not take 3 guests in to the Lounges?

A: This complimentary membership benefit can only be used by IoD members themselves and does not allow for IoD member guests. When visiting a lounge you may be charged a fee per guest to entertain the guest in the lounge (you will be sent two free business lounge guest passes* as part of your Welcome Pack). There is, of course, no charge for attendees who are attending a meeting you are hosting when a meeting room has been previously booked with Regus.

You will still be able to take up to 3 guests into the lounge spaces at Reading (Forbury Square) and London City (New Broad Street House)
