How to protect inventions and patents

The way to protect an invention and thus provide the inventor with a legally enforceable monopoly right in it, is to seek the grant of a patent. However, patent law is a complicated and highly technical discipline - the specialist knowledge of patent specialists can prove the deciding factor in winning protection for your invention.
