Legal adviser (non-practising solicitor)
Aled joined the IoD Advisory Service in 2018 as a legal adviser (non-practicing solicitor).
Aled has over 17 years' experience in private company corporate and business affairs and employment matters for business. Aled focuses on private company incorporation, investments, restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions and the full spectrum of commercial contracts affecting owner managed and SME businesses. Much of Aled’s work has had an international focus, including international agreements with governments, multinational corporations and foreign based businesses. Aled is able to assist the owners and officers of companies and businesses through all stages of their business cycles.
Aled has previously advised several charities, including one of the largest children’s charities in the UK. His work in this sector has included setting up not-for-profit organisations in the educational and health care fields, advising on the constitutional framework for not-for-profit organisations, brand recognition and protection, regulatory compliance on fundraising and advising on and preparing a variety of high value fundraising, collaboration, sponsorship and commercial participation agreements, specific terms for dangerous sports based fundraising events, national and international tripartite agreements, together with general corporate, commercial and employment advice.
Aled has had the benefit of working in private practice and in house as an internal adviser to the board of companies. Aled has also developed business interests of his own, in particular in the geospatial, fuel additive, medical simulation and business brokerage fields.
