Adding a Brexit clause to business contracts

Even if businesses cannot say with certainty what impact Brexit will have, it is possible to insert clauses in business contracts which allow for renegotiation if a Brexit event causes a significant change to the trading conditions which prevailed when a contract was first signed.

To help IoD members decide if their business arrangements require the use of a Brexit clause, the IoD Information and Advisory Service can provide a copy of Practical Law’s Practice Note Drafting for Brexit: Brexit Clauses
