On the termination of the appointment of any employee, including executive directors and senior executives, there are two main areas where such a person can look for protection being their contract of employment and statute. In the event of the employer not dealing with the termination of employment in accordance with the protections given by the contract and statute, this is likely to give rise to various claims for compensation.
