Elizabeth Denham on GDPR at the IoD Digital Summit

Half a month into 2018, how are your company’s GDPR preparations going? Whether you’re a well-established business or a pioneering new start-up, changes to how you manage and protect your data will affect the day-to-day workings in your office.

Elizabeth Denham, Commissioner at the Information Commissioner’s Office, spoke to delegates at the IoD Digital Summit back in November about the importance of adapting ahead of regulatory changes.

Dubbing it “one of the final pieces of much-needed data protection reform,” Denham went on to say that “effective, modern, data protection laws with robust safeguards are central to securing the public’s trust and confidence in the use of personal info within the digital economy, the delivery of public services, and the fight against crime.”

Later, she spoke in an exclusive backstage interview with the IoD, on how GDPR will be of positive benefit to business, by strengthening the trust between companies and their consumers and enhancing the overall reputation of the digital economy. Watch Denham’s exclusive insight below!
