Brexit Brexit - Need to know

Useful links directory

09 Oct 2019

Our directory of relevant links will help signpost you to essential resources and information to help you prepare your business for a no-deal Brexit. The list is by no means exhaustive, but should provide you with a good starting point for your preparations.

Government guidance

The government’s Get ready for Brexit website provides information and guidance to help businesses prepare for Brexit.

The site includes a useful triage tool that asks seven questions about your business to reveal guidance pages relevant to you. As well as understanding what your business or organisation needs to do to prepare for Brexit, the tool provides information on what’s changing in your industry as well as information on rules and regulations.

The Brexit guidance for your business section brings together all of the information that has been published with regard to specific business sectors. You can change what information you get using a list of checkboxes.

EU guidance on Brexit preparedness includes preparedness notices, national Brexit information in Member States and guidance on UK citizens’ rights in Member States.

No-deal ready

The following links provide resources and information that will help businesses prepare in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

The government’s technical notices on how to prepare if the UK leaves the EU with a no-deal.

Structuring your business if there’s a no-deal Brexit. How cross border business operations and European specific corporate entities would be affected if there is a no-deal Brexit.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) brings together the top 3-5 issues for each business sector and provides relevant guidance for each. The sectors covered are:

This list has been adapted from the IoD’s Business Planning for Brexit guide.
