Following on from the hugely popular Pride in Business launch at 116 Pall Mall back in July, the IoD is pleased to announce the first of a series of events aimed at the LGTBQ+ community of business leaders.
Coinciding with London’s Pride march earlier this summer, the IoD began a new initiative for LGBTQ+ business leaders to network, share information and stories, and do business with like-minded individuals. Over 150 leaders attended, and listened to guest speakers Iain Anderson of Cicero Group, Liz Bingham OBE, formerly of EY, and the IoD’s own Director General Stephen Martin kick start the conversation of LGBTQ+ in business.
Since then, the first Pride in Business committee has convened to discuss future projects and events, and we’re delighted to announce that the first of these gatherings will be held at the IoD on 28 September. Regardless of how a business leader identifies, we invite them to come along, network, and conduct business in an open and inclusive environment.
Hosted in the 116 Pall Mall Carlton Room, we will welcome the Rt Hon John Bercow MP, speaker of the House of Commons to speak at the event, which will be followed by drinks and networking. Tickets for this event will be available on 18 September here.
The IoD are delighted with the continuing partnerships with LGBTQ+ organisations InterTech, TechLondonAdvocates, Series Q and the Gay Women’s Network.
