Member area closures during IoD Open House 12th-14th March

21 Feb 2018
IoD Open House 2018

From March 12-14 we will be opening the doors of 116 Pall Mall to members and the wider business community for our brand new and refreshed, unconventional annual convention  - IoD Open House.

This inspirational festival of business will welcome members and guests from all industries and sectors, providing opportunities to connect, learn and share experiences. With a total of 75 sessions, comprising keynotes, panel discussions and workshops – you’ll have the opportunity to hear about the latest on topics such as fin-tech, Brexit, global trade, GDPR, how to grow a business from nothing and much more. It promises to be a fascinating and interactive three days for business leaders of all types and sizes.

Throughout these three days, 116 Pall Mall will remain open for business as normal. Members without Open House tickets are encouraged to visit the Open House business clinic and support zone as well as connect with fellow members, event delegates and our partners and sponsors, whilst in the building.

Access to certain member areas will be restricted, but we would still love to welcome you into the building where you’ll be part of a lively atmosphere as the business community comes together under one roof.

Access to 116 Pall Mall for delegates, as well as members and guests not attending Open House, will be via the side entrance on Waterloo Place for the duration of the event. Disabled access will be through the main front doors, as normal.  The 116 main entrance will revert to be available for entry and exit after 5pm each day.

Please see below for further details on how member areas will be affected:

Director’s Room:

This will be open to all members and event attendees, but with a reduced amount of space. You’ll have  the opportunity to visit some of our event partners and also to network with attendees of Open House.

Carlton Room:

Visitors will enter via the side entrance on Waterloo Place into the Carlton room, with disabled access via the main entrance. As well as signing in and registration, visitors will be able to speak with our partners and sponsors and network with other members and event attendees. There will be no seating in the Carlton room during this time. Members and their guests, who are not attending the event, will be directed from the Carlton Room through to our main Reception to check in, in the usual way.

This will be closed for the duration of Open House; however you will still be able to grab a bite to eat or meet colleagues over lunch in the Wine Bar and Café Duke.

Wine Bar:

This will be open to members and visitors from 8:00am every day throughout IoD Open House. In the evening, the wine bar annexe will be exclusively accessible for ticketed sessions of Open House only, however the main wine bar will still be accessible.

Café Duke:

This will be open to all members and event attendees for meeting and working space as well as usual catering services from 8:00am each day.

2nd floor:

This will be available exclusively for Open House delegates and only for scheduled sessions. Access will be by ticket only.

Business Centre – 4th floor:

Members and visitors can continue to book meeting space during IoD Open House.

The IoD Academy:

This will be open for course delegates and bookings. Access is via 118 Pall Mall for anyone visiting the Academy.

Whilst member space will be reduced for the duration of Open House, we hope that you will still visit and take time to chat to our partners and engage with delegates and other members who will be in the building.

If you are planning on visiting 116 Pall Mall during March 12-14, why not take the opportunity to join one of our sessions and connect with likeminded leaders from all corners of the business community.
