The Good Governance Report continues the debate we started with the publication of The Great Governance Debate in 2015. For this second report, we have continued our successful partnership with Cass Business School.
The purpose of this project is to foster informed discussions of what constitutes good corporate governance in the UK. We hope that this report will be a key catalyst in ensuring practitioners lead the governance agenda.
We have been concerned for some time that corporate governance best practice in Britain has developed as a knee jerk reaction to financial or corporate scandals. For us, corporate governance is about behaviours and not merely box ticking. As such, the report’s aim is about trying to improve corporate governance oversight in a non-regulatory way. I hope that this is something you can support.
