Allie Renison, IoD
Allie Renison is Head of EU and Trade Policy, and leads on devising recommendations and representing the voice of members on EU policy matters both to Westminster and Whitehall and with European institutions. She provides the link between business and Government on increasing international trade and has authored a number of reports on trends in both trade and trade policy, as well as running a number of trade missions for IoD members around the world every year. She also routinely provides advocacy for the IoD on a range of regulatory issues in Brussels.
Allie joined the IoD in April 2014. Prior to this, she was Research Director at Business for Britain, the campaign focused on renegotiating the UK’s relationship with the EU. Allie has previously advised a number of parliamentarians in both Houses on EU legislative issues, with particular focus on trade and employment policy areas. She holds a Masters Degree in the political economy of emerging economies in the post-Soviet space.
Iana Dreyer, BorderLex
Iana is the founder and editor of borderlex.net, the leading online publication on trade policy in Europe. Iana launched Borderlex in 2014 and remains its driving force. Before launching her publishing activity in London, Iana worked as policy analyst in think tanks, writing on trade and energy policy in Brussels and Paris. She has worked with the European Centre for International Political Economy, the Institute Montaigne and the EU Institute for Security Studies. Iana has also worked for the Financial Times group and has trained in journalism. Iana is a graduate from the London School of Economics and Sciences Po in Paris.
Sally Jones, EY
Sally lead EY’s Trade Strategy and Brexit team. She is a leading specialist in trade policy from both a global and Brexit (UK/EU) perspective.
Prior to joining EY, Sally was Director for International Trade Policy and Global Brexit Insights at a professional services firm. She advised organisations across multiple industries including FTSE 100, Fortune 500, privately owned companies and trade associations. She also has frequent contact with the UK Government and the EU Commission.
Sally holds a BSc in Astronomy and Astrophysics from University College London.
George Riddell, EY
George has a decade of experience in international trade. He is primarily responsible for advising multinational corporations on their trade strategy and Brexit preparedness.
Prior to joining EY UK, George spent over six years representing the United Kingdom at the World Trade Organization and the United Nations.
He is passionate about helping companies prepare for the trade challenges of increasing digitalisation and to develop more sustainable supply chains.
