The Institute of Directors NI has announced the appointment of a new Skills Ambassador, Lorna McAdoo.
Lorna currently serves as the Head of ESG and Northern Ireland at Version 1, a global IT services organisation headquartered in Dublin. With over 30 years of experience in the Northern Ireland tech sector, Lorna is a prominent figure in the industry. She is the Vice-Chair of Software NI and has further strengthened her commitment to skills development through her role as Co-Chair of the SEDI Subcommittee on the Northern Ireland Skills Council.
Lorna was a recent member of the IoD Skills Forum and contributed to the Skills Workforce report.
We believe this role, in conjunction with Lornaβs positions with the NI Skills Committee and Software Alliance, will help further develop strong synergies across the NI skills agenda.
Lorna said about her new appointment,
βI am delighted to become the IoD NI Skills Ambassador, at what is a critical juncture for our economy in Northern Ireland. Last year, IoD published our Skills Action Plan and since then have been socialising these recommendations with stakeholders across industry, public and third sector. I am excited to be working on these key areas that we have outlined and ensuring that our economy has the skills for today and the future economy of Northern Ireland.β
We’re looking forward to working with you Lorna!
