IoD appoints Adam Lomas as Suffolk chair

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has appointed Adam Lomas to lead its Suffolk branch.

Adam is Managing Partner of Castor & Partners, a Cyprus based leadership development and talent management consulting firm focused on the Middle East and Levant energy sector.

The IoD supports members to become better directors. Adam will work alongside a team of branch ambassadors to provide connections, professional development opportunities and an influential lobbying voice in the area.

In his role with Castor & Partners, Adam developed and grew a major contract worth US$200 million with Saudi Aramco – the largest national oil company in the world. He has previously worked for Shell International where he developed and executed a new strategy for training and leadership to meet the new challenges of the oil sector.

With vast experience in the Middle East and Levant region and a background in oil and gas through Shell, Adam has been a coach and mentor to chief executives in both international and national companies.

Adam said: “I am looking forward to working with colleagues to grow and develop the IoD’s Suffolk branch as we endeavour to build back from the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Leadership and professional development are at the centre of the IoD’s values and will be key to growing and supporting our membership in the coming year.”

IoD East of England Chair Biplab Rakshi said: “I’m delighted to welcome Adam to the team. He has an exemplary track record in leadership and development, coaching and mentoring and this highly practical experience will bring immense value to the IoD Suffolk branch and IoD East of England region.”
