The Institute of Directors (IoD) is hosting an event at Tata Steel UK in Port Talbot, bringing together business leaders from across Wales.

The event aims to provide insights into Tata Steel's ambitious plans to transition into a low-CO2 steelmaker, a project that marks one of the largest capital investments in Wales in recent times.

Attendees will hear from key speakers, including Richard Selby, Chair of IoD Wales, Huw Morgan, TSUK Director of Decarbonisation Project, Rajesh Nair, CEO and Richie Hart, Process Technology Manager who will present on the company's upcoming investments in electric arc furnaces and infrastructure upgrades.

A panel discussion, moderated by Tim Rutter of TSUK, will explore the economic and job opportunities arising from Tata Steel's transformation and the Celtic Freeport plans. Panellists include, Sarah Williams-Gardner, Chair of FinTech Wales and independent member of Tata Steel Port Talbot Transition Board, Luciana Ciubotariu, CEO of Celtic Freeport, Huw Morgan, TSUK Director of Decarbonisation Project, Rajesh Nair, CEO, Tata Steel.

This event will also include networking sessions, offering attendees the chance to connect and discuss future business prospects in Port Talbot and the wider South Wales region.
