Surrey and Berkshire's Quarterly Directors Business Breakfast

Join the IoD Surrey & Berkshire Branch for an inspiring start to the day, energising peer to peer business discussion and a delicious breakfast.

Sponsored by Business Surrey

An early breakfast at the fabulous Foxhills, hosted by the Surrey & Berkshire Chair, Jarmila Yu and Vice Chair, Kate Davis.

We hold four breakfast events a year, designed by directors for directors, and each one has a specific theme to help you get the most out of the event.

Each event will provide an opportunity to spotlight a member who will briefly intro the theme of the event leading us into a breakfast discussion.

Whilst the member in the spotlight will generously share their insights in leading and managing their organisation through navigating a business challenge or capitalising on a business opportunity, there will be no formal presentations, as the content and conversation comes from the attendees.

Come along and meet other members and enjoy some networking opportunities in the elegant and exclusive environment that is the Orangerie at Foxhills.

This quarterly director business breakfast also gives you the opportunity to meet the IoD Surrey & Berkshire team of Ambassadors, a chance to tap into their knowledge, expertise and networks whilst ensuring you are maximising your membership.

Theme: This quarter's theme for the IoD Surrey Business Breakfast is "unlocking your professional and business potential – how professional mentoring is the difference that makes all the difference.”

Speaker: Our IoD member guest speaker in the spotlight will be Kerrie Dorman, Founder and Chief Ambassador of The Association of Business Mentors. Kerrie will generously share with us the story of her entrepreneurial journey. She will reveal how what she discovered to boost her own development and business has since became an enterprise, that now not only supports 1000’s more entrepreneurs and business leaders but also raises the quality and success of the mentoring and coaching profession. Kerrie will share her perspective on how to thrive as a business leader.

Our Sponsor: Thank you to Business Surrey for Sponsoring the Breakfast Series of events in 2025. At the breakfast we'll hear a quick update on Business Surrey initiatives to support the Surrey business community.

The difference between a good director and a great director is the company they keep. Meet and learn from directors across the UK and beyond. Connect with your local branch to broaden your network, build your career and strengthen your organisation.

This event is open to IoD members, and those interested in becoming a member – from Surrey, Berkshire and beyond!

Places are limited so be sure to register your attendance as soon as possible, not least because we need to confirm final numbers with the venue for staffing and food ordering, and so we will strictly close registration 3 days before the event date.

We look forward to seeing you there!

P.S. To sponsor any of our events giving you and your business a valuable profile awareness boost whilst supporting the work of our entirely volunteer local branch in supporting Directors and the broader business community in our areas please contact: the Surrey & Berkshire Chair, Jarmila Yu via email: [email protected]

Kerrie Dorman

I started off as a serial entrepreneur. Won some, lost some! I found mentoring on an initiative in 2006 post a successful business sale however, I had no support or guidance. I founded the Association of Business Mentors in 2011 to provide mentoring skills and training for those seeking to mentor ethically and effectively as well as provide reassurance to business owners that they are in the safe hands of a trusted and experienced ABM professional business mentor. I am still mentoring although my focus is now within the workplace, working closely with HR departments to run mentoring programmes to support the growth, development and wellbeing of their employees and in turn the organisation.
