IoD Surrey Quarterly Directors Business Book Club Dinner at Foxhills

Join the IoD Surrey Branch for an insightful evening with an author, engaging discussion and a delicious dinner.

A book club meets VIP dinner at the fabulous Foxhills, the IoD Surrey Hub, hosted by the Surrey Chair, Jarmila Yu and Vice Chair, Kate Davis.

We hold four Foxhills dinner events a year, designed by directors for directors, and each one has a different business book author in attendance to help you get the most out of the event.

Each event will provide an opportunity to make new discoveries and gain new insights to support your director development and your business growth from both the author and from the discussion between peers over the course of the dinner. The author will share with us their inspiration and motivation in putting pen to paper, what compelled them to undertake their book endeavour, and share key highlights and take-aways from their book(s). This will set the tone for the evening leading us into a dinner discussion on the book’s topic.

Whilst the author will generously share their insights, there will be no formal presentations, as the content and conversation come from the attendees. Whilst it’s not every day you get to meet the author of a book you might have on your bookshelf and wish you could ask them a question or two about it, it’s also a valuable opportunity for the author to hear first-hand from us (we are “the reader” they wrote the book for) for our thoughts and perspectives.

Come along and meet other members and enjoy some peer to peer conversation opportunities in the elegant and exclusive environment that is the Orangerie at Foxhills Club & Resort.

This quarterly director business dinner also gives you the opportunity to meet the IoD Surrey team of ambassadors, a chance to tap into their knowledge, expertise and networks whilst ensuring you are maximising your membership.
