IoD Edinburgh & Lothians - Impact Journey information session – what this means for your business
The world is changing fast. Customers are demanding more from the brands they buy. Employees are expecting more from the organisations they work for. Communities are looking to businesses to step up and help solve local problems. Investors want to minimize their exposure to the risks of an uncertain future. Governments are looking to embed business sustainability in law.
The growing imperative towards business social and environmental impact accountability is changing how every business operates, and creating exciting challenges and opportunities for every business leader.
Supporting Scotland CAN B’s work, IoD Edinburgh & Lothians are hosting an information session for members to find out more about the Impact Journey training being offered to IoD members starting in September 2022.
This unique training opportunity, tailored specifically for IoD Scotland members, is designed to help you ensure your business is ahead of the curve and equipped to embrace changing market forces to your competitive advantage.
Join us to learn more about this training series, and how it will support you to deepen your understanding of the impact your organisation has on all of your stakeholders, and learn the skill sets you need to account for both your organisation’s unique purpose and to be able to demonstrate your contribution towards wider regional, national, and global frameworks.
What is the Impact Journey? The Impact Journey is Scotland’s government-backed methodology designed to support any Scottish business, regardless of size, stage, or sector, to understand, measure, and manage their environmental, social, and governance performance. It’s a robust, proven, and practical 6-module framework and mindset developed to help shape the way we think about and prove accountability for our business purpose and impact. The Impact Journey was created by Scotland CAN B – the initiative established in 2018 in a unique partnership between the Scottish Government and B Lab UK (the non-profit behind the global B Corp movement) to build a nationwide culture of using business as a force for good.
