Andy Higginson
Andy Higginson grew up in Bury, Lancashire. He started his career in FMCG, as a graduate trainee with Unilever, then at Guinness. He has been a main board director of listed PLC’s for over 30 years, with the majority of his career being in retail. For 15 years he was an Executive Director of Tesco plc during its years of rapid growth. He was CFO for 11 years and was CEO of Retailing Services (Tesco.com, Tesco Bank, Tesco Mobile, DunnHumby) for four. As a Non-Executive Director he was SID at Sky, Chair of Poundland which was IPO’d; N Brown and Morrisons and is currently Chair of JD Sports Fashion plc. He is also Chair of the British Retail Consortium, the industry Trade Body as well as being a Director of a number of Private Equity backed businesses. He is married with two teenage boys and lives in Cheshire.
