This informative session, organised jointly with Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington, will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from key spokespeople including Philip Cox, CEO of Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington, who will discuss the transition from LEP to fully owned entity, and how local business with continue to play a key role in the economic growth of Cheshire and Warrington.
Other speakers will include:
- Paul Chapman, Manager of the Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub, who will talk about the practical business support and funding available across all sectors to nurture sub regional economic growth in business.
- Pat Jackson, Director of Skills and Education, who will explain how Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington work with employers and local schools to develop the pipeline of talent and find out how your business can help to fill vacancies and reskill staff through skills boot-camps and apprenticeships.
There will also be a Q&A session, and the opportunity to network with other IoD members based in the area.

Pat Jackson
Director of Skills and Education, Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington
Pat joined in 2017 and is working with employers, colleges and other key partners to develop a more strategic approach to skills and education in Cheshire and Warrington. She has previously worked with a range of employers and other key partners on skills and education policies and projects in different regions of the country as well as at national level.
Paul Chapman
Manager, Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub
Paul is responsible for working to deliver the Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub and managing the Growth Hub team. His business journey began in the 1980s, founding a company building computers and progressing to network design and information security consultancy. He has also worked extensively on the regeneration of the Speke & Garston areas of South Liverpool and on several business support projects across Cheshire and Warrington.
Philip Cox
CEO, Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington
Philip leads Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington towards its vision to make the area the healthiest, most sustainable and inclusive economy in the UK. Prior to joining Cheshire and Warrington, Philip was a civil servant, most recently as the Director for Local Economies at DCLG.
