IoD seeks branch chairs for North East region
The IoD is seeking chairs to lead two newly created branches in its North East region.The two branches will represent the north and south of the North East and will be known as North East (North) and North East (South).The move follows the merger of the IoD’s Yorkshire and North East regions this year to create a powerful lobbying voice.We are looking for people to inspire and lead the two branches, working with Yorkshire and North East chair Jon Geldart and vice-chair Joanna Berry. The role includes a strong focus on developing membership growth whilst supporting and engaging with all IoD members across the North East region.Implementing and supporting IoD policies, standards and initiatives is an important part of being a branch chair. The role includes promoting the IoD by engaging with local businesses and other stakeholders such as LEPs, public sector bodies and universities.The ideal candidates should have experience of working at board level in an established company, will live in and be knowledgeable about the North East region and be able to commit a reasonable amount of time to the role.
