The Institute of Directors (IoD) has launched an official business hub at Durham University Business School.
Members of the business leaders’ organisation can now use the School’s available state-of-the-art facilities and hire meeting rooms for free on production of their membership card.
Dr Joanna Berry, chairman of the IoD in the North East and associate professor in entrepreneurship at DUBS, said: “This is a world-class facility and I’m excited to welcome IoD members to experience it for themselves. The new and improved facilities mean the School is ideally positioned for corporate partners to host events ranging from small meetings to conferences for large numbers of delegates.”
IoD members can also book lecture theatres, subject to normal hire rates. All bookings should be made in advance via Event Durham.
Durham University Business School was founded in 1965. It is part of Durham University, the third oldest in England and firmly established within the top 10 universities in the UK.
The School offers 12 contemporary, well-equipped meeting rooms for conferences and meetings during term time and vacations. It can host groups ranging from a board meeting up to a conference for 200 people. The on-site Fusion Restaurant provides a regular weekday service, hospitality and conference catering.
