The acting Director General of the Institute of Directors, Louise Gulliver, will be in Leeds tomorrow (Wednesday) to lead a discussion on how business and universities can drive the Northern Powerhouse.
She will be speaking at a Public Square leaders’ lunch, organised by the IoD in Yorkshire. Guests include Roger Marsh, chairman of the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, Chris Prince, dean and pro vice chancellor of Leeds Beckett University and Frank Clayton, head of group learning and development at NG Bailey.
Public Square is a series of events to debate key issues affecting business in the region. This week’s event – Future of Cities – will focus on learning and professional development and supporting business growth through initiatives such as the Northern Powerhouse.
The lunch takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Civic Hall, Leeds from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. It is open to IoD members (£24) and non-members (£36).
To book your place, email the IoD Yorkshire regional team.
Future of Cities takes place as the IoD prepares to launch its new membership offer – IoD Advance – to business leaders and entrepreneurs across the North. The scheme reinforces the IoD’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurialism and supporting professional development in business.
The Public Square series is being run in conjunction with Leeds Beckett University and Leeds City Council.
