The IoD’s Head of Europe and Trade Policy will lead a two-day ‘Navigating Brexit’ roadshow in Yorkshire and the North East just days ahead of the UK’s 31 October deadline for leaving the EU.
Allie Renison will address business leaders in Newcastle and Harrogate next week as part of the IoD’s support to prepare companies for Brexit.
Allie leads on devising recommendations and representing the voice of IoD members on EU policy matters both to Westminster and Whitehall and with European institutions. She provides the link between business and Government on increasing international trade and has authored a number of reports on trends in both trade and trade policy.
Allie will speak at an IoD North East Business Leaders’ Lunch on Thursday 24 October at the Northern Counties Club, Newcastle. Also addressing the lunch is Richard Baker from the North East Local Enterprise Partnership.
Later the same day, Allie will join an IoD Yorkshire and North East Policy Voice Roundtable also being held at the Northern Counties Club. The roundtable will be led by the region’s Policy Voice ambassador Rashmi Dubé.
On Friday 25 October, Allie will be at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate to speak with business leaders as part of an IoD ‘Ready Brex’ Business Breakfast. Joining the debate will be recently appointed IoD Director General Jon Geldart.
Natalie Sykes, regional director for the IoD, said: “With so much uncertainty around the final deal or no deal with the EU, we are bringing businesses together to provide a degree of clarity at this challenging time.”
All the events are free to IoD members and non-members. Places can be booked by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or here: https://iodbrexitbreakfast.eventbrite.co.uk
