Directors to debate digital trends at Business Bites
The big digital and social media trends for 2019 will be explored at the Institute of Directors’ Business Bites event on 13 February.
Senior marketing lecturer Peter Andrews from Hull University Business School will guide guests through the digital and social media landscape and outline how these tools can help organisations to stay ahead of the competition.
The event takes place at Hull University Business School from 5.30 to 7pm. Entry is free for all, with time set aside to meet and connect with fellow directors in a relaxed atmosphere.
Peter is the Business School’s lead academic in digital and social media marketing, working with organisations and on commercial research projects.
He has a commercial background as director of an international consumer healthcare business and a director at Freshology, a marketing and innovation consultancy.
Peter said: “In the rapidly changing, fast-paced world of digital marketing, it’s crucial to understand which of the latest trends are important and how you can apply them to gain a competitive advantage.”
Pat Coyle, chairman of the IoD in East Yorkshire, said: “The world of digital and social media never stands still and it can be challenging for marketers and business owners to ensure their business is using these tools effectively.
“We’re looking forward to an interactive session in which Peter will discuss the digital trends to watch for those who want to be at the cutting edge of marketing.
“Attendance is free to all so please do pop in for a drink during the evening.”
