Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we celebrate business leaders and their achievements, showcasing those at the forefront of leadership excellence. It gives us great pleasure to announce that our Director of the Year Awards will take place on 15th October.
As leaders navigate possibly the most challenging business environment in their careers, it is right to focus on their positive stories and to bring leaders together to celebrate.
The unforeseen events and economic impact of 2020 have of course been a cause for concern, but Covid 19 has prompted many businesses to come up with novel ways of working and provided the opportunity to try new ways of doing things. As such, we have decided to join forces with our colleagues in East Midlands for this year and run the awards across the whole of the Midlands, offering greater visibility to our inspirational finalists.
As you would expect, we are not able to host our Champagne Breakfast as we would normally do and have moved the awards online, where we can provide an interactive virtual event with unlimited free tickets available for colleagues, friends, supporters and family.
The IoD Midlands Awards will now take place on Thursday 15th October, from 4pm – 6pm, and will be live streamed on a variety of platforms, ensuring we reach the widest audience possible.
We will also announce two winners for the Chairs Award for excellence, one from each half of the Midlands, chosen by our Regional Chairs Brian Hall and Gary Headland.
We do hope you can join us to recognise and celebrate great leadership from across the Midlands. The ceremony will begin at 4pm on the 15th
October and will finish around 6pm.
