IoD Midlands - Director of the Year Awards Sponsors

Tasha MacGilbert 09 Nov 2020

We are getting closer and closer to the Virtual Midlands Director of the Year Awards!

The IoD Midlands Awards celebrates the achievements of the region’s most hardworking and innovative business leaders.

They aim to raise awareness among IoD members, the wider business community and public of the significant contribution business leaders can make to society and to economic prosperity in our region.

We want to say a massive thank you to all of our sponsors this year and share some of their words about sponsoring our prestigious Director of the Year Awards.

HEADLINE SPONSOR

“DRP is proud to support the 2020 IoD’s Director of the Year awards. We are really delighted to be able to host this year’s awards live from our studios in Worcestershire. Since March we have broadcast over 450 events and over one million viewers across the globe from our 10 studios for a diverse range of organisations.  We’ve also been extremely proud to have been able to use the facilities to help raise money for local charities through virtual fundraising events and support key workers and local care homes. And tonight we are really happy to be playing a part in helping to share the success of local businesses and its people”

"BHSF are delighted to sponsor the IoD's Director of the Year Awards 2020. Last year we celebrated at the awards when our former Chairman, Andrew Milner, was honoured to receive the Non-Executive Director of the Year award. After such a difficult year it has been inspirational to see the resilience not only at BHSF, but businesses across the country. We look forward to celebrating the success of businesses in the Midlands"

With thanks to our sponsor Business Link Magazine who are sponsoring the 'Third Sector' category in the 2020 Midlands Director of the Year Awards!

“I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to judge and sponsor the IoD's Director of the Year Midlands Awards. It is a great privilege to be able to give the nominees the recognition they deserve.”

“Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) is delighted to be sponsoring the 'Start Up’ category this year. We’ve been impressed by the quality of the applications for this category. There have been some great examples of business founders that have identified market opportunities, and developed and executed business models that have already capitalised on these opportunities.”

"The Midlands Engine is the beating heart of the UK economy. We are delighted to be participating in the IoD Director of the Year Awards 2020: an important opportunity to celebrate our region’s exceptional performers for their commitment to driving long-term economic growth and prosperity in every part of the Midlands Engine."

"We are all living through uncertain times, which is why it’s more important than ever to celebrate business leaders in the Midlands and their excellent achievements. Our region is home to some of the most innovative, dynamic and talented leaders in the UK. We are delighted to support this year’s awards, which are a great way to showcase their positive stories of success in a challenging business environment. Innovation is at the heart of our business at Morningside. Good luck to all of the nominees"

“The past year has thrown countless, unforeseen challenges at businesses – particularly SMEs – across the region and now, more than ever, it’s vital we celebrate the leaders who have navigated these changes with resilience, collaboration and innovation. We’re looking forward to hearing the positive stories of leadership talent, success and achievement that have come out of the West and East Midlands over the previous year at the virtual awards ceremony next month.”

"We recently launched our new Midlands hub to help bring more advice to more people across the UK. Our regional communities are important to us and we are delighted to be a part of the IoD Director of the Year Awards, which recognise the outstanding contribution made by those across the regions"

"As a firm, we strive to play an active role in supporting the Midlands’ economy and in helping businesses thrive in these extraordinary times. We work with many inspirational family businesses and are therefore very proud to be sponsoring the Family Business Director of the Year Award.  It’s been particularly fascinating to be on the judging panel this year and to read about so many passionate business leaders delivering collaborative and innovative solutions to drive real strategic business growth. Congratulations to all of this year’s nominees"

“The Lincoln International Business School is a strong supporter of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and we have the principles embedded in all aspects of our teaching and practice. Our strong and positive engagement with the IoD in our region shows us what a strong values match we have as two key institutions in the region. It was hence most natural that we picked up the category of ‘Social Value and Sustainability’ at the IoD Awards this year, to pick a winner from amongst a hugely talented set of nominations"

“We are pleased to be sponsoring the Director of the Year - Equality, Diversity & Inclusion category, which are elements that are at the core of our mission. The University of Wolverhampton is the University of Opportunity, its purpose is to provide a high quality of education for the community of the Black Country; aspiring and enabling a diverse range of people to access higher education"
